In this case, maybe less disruption would be welcome.

“No rules in space” but it just makes sense that right-of-way ought to be based on first-come-first-served. I mean c’mon this isn’t rocket sci— er, brain surgery.

That said, am I missing something here? Did SpaceX have a valid reason to expect Aeolus to yield ? Like is there some need for the Starlink “constellation” to maintain a particular constant formation? Would moving one satellite have required moving the rest of them as well?

The only other excuse I can think of is if SpaceX somehow had more accurate satellite path tracking, and was able to foresee that the “1 in 1,000” collision risk was in fact going to be nothing but a near miss.

Are you accusing techbros of feeling entitled to do whatever they want without considering the consequences to others?

Thanks. Wasn’t sure when that would appear and I’m pleasantly surprised he mentioned me. The interview was pretty short.

Not terribly surprised that the photo he chose from my collection was o f his own Jeep.
